Interview invitations are not sent in one batch. Schools release them in waves across the cycle, so the date you hear back depends as much on when your application was processed as on how strong it is.
The biggest change year to year is delivery mode. Many schools moved online during the pandemic; some have stayed online (Bristol, Glasgow, Keele, Nottingham, Plymouth, Aston), while others returned in person (Aberdeen, Leeds, Anglia Ruskin, St George's). Exact calendar dates move by a few weeks each cycle, but the month-level windows below have stayed stable.
Cross-checked for 2026 entry. Windows are month-level and describe the most recent (2026-entry) cycle. Exact dates shift by a few weeks each year and are confirmed only in a candidate's official invitation email. Always treat the invitation as the source of truth. Keele's invite and decision timeline is notoriously slow and drawn out: Widening Participation and international applicants get the first batch of invites in December, everyone else waits into January-March, applications are said to be worked through in something close to random order rather than strongest-first, and some applicants are still waiting to hear in late January while people with offers elsewhere are already deciding whether to give up on Keele.
"Keele received 30% more applicants than the previous year... applications are reviewed in random order rather than by academic merit, and interviews continue into April and May (paraphrase from search snippet)"

Mumsnet Medicine 2026 - Part 3 megathread, post by FruAashildUnder the older (pre-panel) MMI format, Keele ran 11 stations of 5 minutes each plus a rest station, mixing work-experience reflection questions, an ethics or role-play scenario, and a why Keele / why PBL fit question, useful context for what the school values in candidates even though the delivery method has since changed.
"eleven 5-minute stations plus one 5-minute rest, using role-play, scenario-based discussion and exploration of work experience (paraphrase from search snippet)"

"you'll need to complete a calculation test... lack of resources online (only 20 questions on the Keele website) (paraphrase from search snippet)"

The Student Room thread Keele/Sunderland Medicine numeracy test/interview 2020 (search snippet)For 2025/2026 entry Keele dropped the classic multi-station MMI in favour of an online panel format: two 15-minute interviews, each with two interviewers, so four different assessors mark you in total. Applicants who prepped for MMI-style stations report being thrown by the more conversational panel structure.
"the questions werent bad but i fumbled because of the panel style its okay girl u gnna be okay (paraphrase from search snippet)"

(search snippet)Despite the formal structure, interviewers are repeatedly described as warm rather than intimidating, and the recurring advice is to stop over-rehearsing answers and just be genuine, because the panel is explicitly said to reward natural responses over polished ones.
"be smiley and confident, interviewers are very nice... be super calm, relaxed and don't over prepare answers (paraphrase from search snippet)"
